ENT Masterclass International Meeting

Professor Rea was pleased to be invited once more to lecture at the ENT Masterclass International Meeting. His spoke this year on otosclerosis (a very common cause of hearing loss that can be treated with surgery or hearing aids), Meniere’s Disease and Migraine. ENT Masterclass now hosts conferences around the world that are free for doctors to attend, and the Faculty provide their time at their own expense. As ever the Masterclass organisers ensured a very successful meeting and very full lecture theatre. Professor Rea has been invited to speak at The ENT Masterclass World Congress in Bucharest later in the year. Assuming travel is permitted it promises to be a great event with a huge number of delegates expected and will be held once more in the national parliament building in Romania.

Professor Rea Appointed President of The British Society of Ototlogy

Professor Rea has become President of The British Society of Otology for 2020-2022, following elections last year. It is a great honour. He then attended an outstanding 2 days organised by the British Society of Otology lecturing on adult and paediatric dizzy syndromes and hearing from his colleagues from around the UK and abroad on recent developments in all things related to the ear. The British Society of Otology is the leading national organisation for ear surgeons in the UK, and is part of ENT UK, our national organisation.

Professor Rea Sits on Expert Panel at The Royal Society of Medicine

Professor Rea was kindly asked to sit on an expert panel at The Royal Society of Medicine. In front of a large audience of colleagues, he and fellow experts on the panel were given challenging scenarios to diagnose and develop management plans on for the audience. No pressure there! Cases ranged from cholesteatoma through ossiculoplasty to Eagle’s syndrome.
