April Coronavirus Update

April Coronavirus Update

Professor Rea is spending most of his professional time working for the NHS at present. Thankfully Leicester has been less severely hit by COVID-19 thus far. Management at all the NHS and private hospitals have worked impressively, collaboratively, and tirelessly to minimise risk to our patients. But it has been a challenging time. Whilst back on the emergency on call rota Professor Rea has not yet faced the severe challenges some his colleagues in ITU, A&E, anaesthesia, and on the wards have had to face thus far. Nor indeed some his ENT colleagues in other parts of the UK. Adequate PPE is currently available and Professor Rea attaches a photo of himself in the emergency clinic in full PPE prior to treating his patients last week (he apologies at not being terribly good at selfies).
