Mr Banerjee qualified in 1987 from Newcastle-upon-Tyne University and his ENT training was mainly in the East Midlands and Australia.
His advanced training included the world renowned ENT Fellowship at The Royal Brisbane Infirmary. His otological training was further enhanced in Toulouse. His current practice focuses on diseases of the ear, nose and on snoring and he runs specialist clinics for both adults and children.
Mr Banerjee is also Editor in Chief of The Otorhinolaryngologist, the UKs premier medical education journal for ENT Surgeons. He has served on many national committees for ENT, including two terms on the Specialist Advisory Committee for ENT, and is currently Vice President for Otology at the Royal Society of Medicine.
His publications include research and textbook chapters. He regularly lectures both nationally and internationally and organises an annual international ENT educational meeting in London for ENT Surgeons.
Outside of work Anil spends free time with his wife and children. His hobbies include tennis, and guitar. His achilles heel is his lifelong support for Sunderland AFC which can produce joy and sorrow – not always in equal measures.
