Treatment Fees

Patients being treated for conditions covered by their own private medical insurance need to contact their insurers directly, prior to an appointment for authorisation.

All of our consultants at the Clinic are recognised providers for all the major private medical insurance companies.

Patients not covered by private medical insurance will receive a detailed quote of the costs involved in their treatment after their consultation. Estimates of costs can be given before the consultation though these may be revised when a detailed treatment plan is determined, depending on individual requirements. In general, fees include all surgical, anaesthetic and hospital care. These costs are explained in detail below.

Consultation Fees

The initial consultation fee is between £150 - £200 and follow up fee where appropriate are from £100. Where appropriate, the consultation fee includes a detailed assessment and discussion of the clinical problem. The consultation fee is payable at the end of the appointment and can be made either by cash or cheque, debit and credit card are also accepted. Subsequent pre-operative consultations, where necessary, are usually included in the package fee.

Investigations/Tests

These may be performed at The London Road Clinic or referred to another local facility eg for CT or MRI scan. The fees charged for this will vary and is separate to your consultation fee. Your consultant will advise you of these costs at the time of your consultation.

Procedure Fees

Any procedures recommended by our Clinic Surgeons will accompany an accurate estimate of the fees following your consultation. The estimate of the procedure cost includes the surgical fees, the anaesthetist's fee (where appropriate), hospital and theatre costs and follow up visits.

The London Road Clinic surgeons operate at a number of well-known private hospitals and the hospital fees charged may vary depending on the particular location chosen since some hospitals charge considerably less than others for particular procedures. The fees usually include the surgical, anaesthetic and hospital charges, routine postoperative care, including two follow up consultations where appropriate.
