Professor Rea Elected to the Council of the Royal Society of Medicine

Professor Rea is delighted to report he has been elected by his surgical peers to the Council of The Royal Society of Medicine, section of otology.

Professor Rea Recruting for Menieres Disease Registry

Professor Rea is now recruiting for the Menieres Disease Registry which has been generously funded by the Meniere’s Society. There is no need to get in touch - Professor Rea will search his records and invite a number of past patients with Meniere’s to jin. If you are invited it will be a great opportunity to help us understand how this disease progresses over time. Thank you to all who do help.

Professor Rea Recruiting for Cutting-Edge Study

Professor Rea is now recruiting for a study looking at how migraine and persistent postural-perceptual dizziness affect how the brain interprets sensory information. This is part of a £2,000,000 award from the (extremely prestigious) NIH in the USA. It is genuine cutting edge work led by the University of Leicester and seeks to extend our understanding of the complex way the brain helps us balance, or makes us dizzy. Recruitment is by invitation only from his clinic at the LRI.

Professor Rea Gives Keynote Lecture

Professor Rea is honoured to have been asked to give one of the keynote lectures at this years European Academy of otology and neuro-otology (EAONO) meeting in London in September. He has been asked to talk on how surgeons have responded to the COVID crisis.

Leicester Balance Course 2021

Professor is very pleased to confirm this years Leicester Balance Course will be running again at De Montfort University in Leicester in September 2021. It is a major 3 day course aimed at ENT Surgeons, audiologists, physiotherapists, GPs, and physicians who manage or seek to manage patients with dizziness. New Sleep Apneograph Equipment

The medical team at The London Road Clinic have been extremely impressed at the quality of the new Sleep Apneograph snoring investigation equipment.
